State highway forecast 2005/06–2014/15

This update incorporates Transit's share of the extra $500 million for land transport announced on 23 June 2005. The regions affected by the changes are: Auckland, Waikato, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu/Whanganui, Wellington, Canterbury and Otago. Updated information has been added on Table 1.

You will still need to refer to the Table 2 for the transport issues and background for the affected regions.

For other regions, the documents issued on 30 June 2005 (Table 2) are still current.

Transit New Zealand 10-year state highway forecast 2005/06–2014/15

This forecast sets out Transit's long-term projections for state highway improvements and maintenance, based on Land Transport New Zealand's 10-year financial forecast for state highway expenditure.

Transit's 2005/06 state highway forecast does not include the extra $500 million funding for land transport announced by the government on 23 June (see above).

For ease of use the state highway forecast booklet has been broken into sections.

The table below contains information for each region, including a media release, a regional summary and forecast funding levels, a chart of projects and indicative construction start dates and a map showing the locations of projects in the plan. Regions are listed in alphabetical order.
