The Real Estate Module in SAP started with property management transactions on 1 August 2013. Raising invoices for the 600 tenants, tracking the incoming rental and paying maintenance and management expenses were the first tasks to commence. The land acquisition and disposal functions will/have migrate to SAP from the PADS systems.
To get started, go to Navigation and Common Documents below to access the introduction documents.
Acquisition consultants should ensure they read the Data Field Specification guide [PDF, 163 KB]. This outlines how to input the data fields required for new property.
From time to time there will be a need to flag an entry in SAP for deletion. A step by step procedure on how to do this can be found in the document How to flag an entry for deletion [PDF, 238 KB].
To promote data accuracy in SAP, existing address information for some entries may need to be improved. Review Editing an Address in SAP [PDF, 107 KB] for simple instructions on editing addresses and data requirements.
The current plan for transitioning Acquisition and Disposal data to SAP will be available in an 'Acquisition and Disposal SAP October Update'. This update includes the current plan for transitioning Acquisition and Disposal data to SAP and tips/tricks from session with suppliers over the last few weeks.
