Use this form to dispute a safety camera notice issued by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA).

Speeding is a serious offence as it contributes to approximately 60 percent of fatal crashes in Aotearoa. Your reason for speeding must be factual and presented with validating evidence.

You can raise a dispute if you're:

  • the person named on the notice, or
  • a person they've given specific authority to act on their behalf, or
  • an authorised representative of a company or organisation.

Disputes must be in writing. You can't explain the circumstances over the phone.

You must submit this form before the payment due date on the reminder notice. If your fine has already been transferred to the Ministry of Justice for collection, you must direct your enquiries to them.
