We’ve developed a mobile app to provide a digital platform with simple and secure ways for New Zealanders to access their licence and vehicle information, as well as make payments, with more capabilities to be added in the future.

While the app shows driver licence information, the NZTA app is not a replacement of your current licence. You must always have your driver licence with you when driving.

However, you are able to request a Certificate of Particulars that will be emailed to you.
Note: This is not a valid licence or form of ID and should not be mistaken for one. You must always have your driver licence with you when you drive. We’re working with the Ministry of Transport to understand what would be needed to enable digital drivers licences.
You can add up to ten vehicles, and will be able to see:
Vehicles will now be saved between ‘login’ sessions, so you no longer need to add them again.
The app is available in English and Te Reo Maori. You can select the language in the app, just go to Profile > Settings > Language to choose.
