State Highways 2 and 35 were significantly damaged during Cyclone Gabrielle. The TREC Alliance is carrying out recovery work to restore the state highways back to two lanes and keep communities connected.
Following the damage caused by Cyclone Gabrielle, a programme of recovery work is underway to restore State Highway 2 and State Highway 35 in the region back to two lanes. See the state highway project pages below for more information about the recovery work happening on those sections:
