The Paekākāriki Interchange connects State Highway 59 with Te Aranui o Te Rangihaeata - the Transmission Gully motorway via a northbound on-ramp and southbound off-ramp.
With northbound on and southbound off-ramps, this will be the main interchange for motorists travelling between Kāpiti and Paekākāriki, Pukerua Bay or Plimmerton. This is also the last southbound exit on the Transmission Gully motorway for 15 kilometres.
Northbound motorists (e.g. those coming from Wellington) will need to use the Mackays Crossing Interchange if they are travelling to Paekākāriki, or further around the coastal State Highway 59 route.
