On a multi-laned, two-way road.
The driver should
Choose the appropriate lane.
Keep the vehicle near the middle of the lane.
Keep a safe distance from parked vehicles, kerbside hazards and oncoming vehicles.
Drive at a speed appropriate for the conditions.
Keep a correct position in the traffic flow and stay at a safe following distance behind the vehicle in front (at least two seconds behind).
Check the mirrors regularly (about every 10 seconds).
Consistently search forward and to both sides for potential hazards.
