Child restraint technicians play a very important role in keeping children safe on our roads. They can provide informed advice on the type of child restraint you may need. They also have the practical knowledge to correctly fit your child restraint into a vehicle and show you how to do it too.

The child restraint technicians listed on this page have been trained and certified through an independent competence-based system. Their training has not been independently verified or assessed by NZTA.

Some child restraint technicians may have also received further training in assisting children who have additional medical or behavioural needs. If you are a parent or caregiver of a child that has additional or behavioural needs, you can check with an assessor if they have received further training. Additional training is not independently verified or assessed by NZTA.
