This report contains the findings of an economic assessment undertaken at the portfolio level for the roads of national significance (RoNS).
The purpose of undertaking the assessment is for NZ Transport Agency to be able to answer two fundamental questions, namely:
Are there quantifiable wider economic benefits associated with the portfolio of RoNS projects?
If such benefits exist and are quantifiable, are they of sufficient scale to demonstrate the economic worth of an aspirational RoNS implementation programme?
