Resource efficiency guideline for infrastructure delivery and maintenance

Published: | Category: Environment , Planning, design, funding, building, maintenance of the transport network , Guidance for specialists | Audiences: Road controlling authorities, Road traffic engineers & consultants, Roading contractors

The Resource efficiency guideline for infrastructure delivery and maintenance enables the Resource Efficiency Policy for Infrastructure Delivery & Maintenance and P48 Specification for resource efficiency policy for infrastructure delivery to be implemented by outlining requirements for developing a resource efficiency and waste minimisation plan, evaluating opportunities, target setting and reporting. It provides practical guidance to infrastructure improvement projects at all project life cycle phases (business case to design and construction), as well as maintenance contracts.

This guideline is intended for use on Waka Kotahi projects and maintenance contracts, and projects receiving funding from the National Land Transport Fund which fall under the Resource Efficiency Policy. However, there could also be benefits in applying it across council-led infrastructure projects or other construction projects.
