This project on Auckland’s Northwestern motorway (SH16) is raising the Te Atatu Rd overbridge, upgrading onramps & exits, widening a section of the motorway, extending bus shoulder lanes and enhancing cycling & pedestrian facilities. It is a key component in completing the Western Ring Route.
This project is a key part of the Western Ring Route which once complete, will provide an alternative to SH1, central Auckland and the Auckland Harbour Bridge. It involves widening a section of the Northwestern Motorway and extending bus shoulder lanes and improving walking and cycling facilities. Upgrades will be made to all five motorway onramps and exits along with widening and raising the Te Atatu Road overbridge.
