Work is now underway on a 95m bridge for the Takitimu North Link project at Wairoa Road, the first of eight bridges to be built on the project totalling 1.6km of the 6.8km route.
In this video, we find out more from the team about how it will be built. The NZ Upgrade Programme project is six months into construction, with some of the work to date at Wairoa Road including building a diversion road for traffic while the build is taking place. The project is the Bay of Plenty’s biggest roading project to date and will provide an alternative route to SH2 moving trucks off local roads and supporting growth.
