Motorists are advised that State Highway 25 (SH25) at Hikuai is closed and a 8km/h detour is in place due to flooding, advises the NZ Transport Agency.
It is yet unclear when this section of SH25 will reopen, but the detour will remain in place until them.
The Transport Agency encourages motorists to take care this Eastern and Anzac holidays by driving to the conditions and to plan your journey.
