Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists to delay their journeys on State Highway 29 over the Kaimai Range.
SH29 is closed between Soldiers Road and Valley View Road due to a serious crash. There is no detour available and the road is likely to remain closed for some time.
Alternative routes via State Highway 2 to Paeroa from Tauranga, State Highway 26 and State Highway 27 or via State Highway 36 to Ngongotaha from Tauranga, State Highway 5 and State Highway 28, will add significant time to a journey.
