Important information for drivers.
Lower North Island
- On State Highway 1, the Mackays Crossing onramp will be closed for resurfacing this Sunday
- Drainage works have been completed earlier than expected at the State Highway 1 southbound offramp into Johnsonville, meaning previously planned night works and closures for the coming week are longer needed.
- On State Highway 2, there will be a closure at Totara Park on Sunday night for paving works and median barrier repairs. Five nights of closures are planned for maintenance between Masterton to Carterton, beginning this Sunday night.
Top of the South Island
- Road reconstruction works are planned for State Highway 63 Wye River next month, road rebuilding works are planned for State Highway 6 on the Whangamoa Saddle, and the final stages of new roundabout construction on State Highway 6 at Woodbourne are also about to begin
- Extra night closures will be required to finish safety barrier repairs on the SH60 Ruby Bay Bypass from 24 November.
- In Tākaka, resurfacing work gets underway on Commercial Street from this Sunday. Good progress is being made on underslip repairs on the Tākaka Hill, and maintenance work across the rest of the route continues until the end of the month.
