Be ready for more traffic, congestion and travel delays, tiredness, and people driving in unfamiliar environments. Please share the roads with care and take a break on longer journeys. Lower North Island

• The All Blacks take on the Wallabies at Sky Stadium in Wellington on Saturday night. The match is sold out, meaning more traffic can be expected to head in and out of the city before and after the game. Kick-off is just after 7 pm, and the game is scheduled to end around nine pm. Drivers heading in and out of the CBD should plan accordingly and allow extra travel time.
• Resurfacing work is ongoing on State Highway 2 in the Hutt Valley.

• Emergency works are needed to repair an underslip on State Highway 2 Remutaka Hill. Eight to nine weeks of night closures (Sun - Thurs nights) will begin from Monday, 7 October.

Top of the South Island

• Resurfacing work continues on State Highway 6 Gladstone Road in Richmond until 10 October.

• Looking ahead, road resurfacing work is planned for the Mariri Causeway on State Highway 60 south of Motueka next month. This will require a road closure and local road detours.
