The NZ Transport Agency advises drivers that a section of State Highway 1 (SH1), northbound, in the Auckland CBD from Nelson St to the SH16 Onramp, will be closed tonight (Tuesday, 7 June) for repairs to a damaged bridge joint.
The work will be carried out between 9.30pm and 5am tomorrow.
The NZTA will have detours in place via Nelson St and Wellesley St in Grafton Gully and drivers are asked to follow the signposted routes.
Links to SH1 from the Port up Grafton Gully and from the Northwestern Motorway remain open.
