The NZ Transport Agency advises Coromandel and Bay of Plenty motorists to drive with extra care and expect delays today.
Flooding and slips are affecting a number of state highways around the region. Some roads have been closed and others are marginal and may close later today. Traffic management including 30km/h speed restrictions and lane closures are in place in some areas.
Update: 10:43 am
All of these roads are now open to one lane. Motorists are advised to expect delays and are urged to drive with extra care and attention.
Transport Agency contractors are monitoring the sites and a further update will be sent out if there are any changes.
