The NZ Transport Agency says motorists should expect delays on State Highway 2 at Whakamarama after a serious crash.
The crash has occurred at the intersection of State Highway 2 and Barrett Road.
Both lanes are now open.
The Transport Agency says the crash is causing significant delays and is advising motorists to delay their travel or avoid the area.
Motorists heading north can use SH29 and SH1.
