A stretch of State Highway 2 at Ormond, north of Gisborne, has closed due to a serious road crash.
The state highway between Brown Road and Lavenham Road is currently closed and emergency services are on the scene.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is advising all road users to avoid travel if possible and to expect delays while a possible detour is set up.
