The NZ Transport Agency is encouraging Wellington residents to come along to open days this weekend to learn more about the proposed multi-modal improvements between Cobham Drive and Buckle Street.
The open days will be held at the Basin Reserve this Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm at the R A Vance Stand on Sussex Street.
“We’re encouraging people to come along to one of our open days and discuss the Cobham Drive to Buckle Street transport proposals in person with our project team,” said NZTA Wellington State Highways Manager Rod James.
“We’ll be able to answer people’s questions and walk people through how the improvements are designed to work for all forms of transport.”
“We’re really keen to hear the community’s feedback, and these open days will help people to make well informed submissions based on a sound understanding of these proposals.”
Mr James said if people couldn’t make it to the open days this weekend, they could still come to the Information Centre, which is open weekdays from 10am to 3pm except on Thursdays, 3pm to 8pm.
Extensive information about the proposals is also on the NZTA’s website www.nzta.govt.nz/witi(external link). People have until 26 August to make their submissions.
