Our intelligent transport systems (ITS) design standards and delivery specifications (S&S) define the requirements for the design, delivery and integration of ITS equipment onto our national transport network. We’re seeking feedback on the documents in 3 batches across April-June 2024. The current consultation is for documents relating to electronic signs design standards.

NZTA is proposing a new speed limit of 110km/h on the Kapiti Expressway, from north of the Poplar Avenue interchange to south of the Otahi northern interchange, under the Setting of Speed Limits Rule (2022). We’re seeking feedback from stakeholders and the community which we will review alongside our safety assessment before making a final decision.
