Application of network documents

 

Introduction

The NZTA maintains a register of network standards and guidelines that are governed under its Register Process Manual.

 

This page relates to the 2012-15 NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied only.

Application of network documents

Networks must be planned, constructed, operated and maintained in accordance with the technical documents in the NZTA’s register of network standards and guidelines and linked Register Process Manual.  

 

Any requests for departure from this policy must be directed in writing to the National Investment Manager NZTA. It is the NZTA’s policy that funding will be provided only to that portion of a network that complies with the Register and Process Manual.

 

Over-width carriageways

Maintenance and renewal of existing over-width carriageways will be eligible for funding assistance where this has been demonstrated to be the most cost-effective option. This applies, in particular, to the following work categories:
