MegaMaps is an online geospatial tool containing data to assist road controlling authorities (RCAs) in New Zealand with speed management planning.
This information, together with detailed Guidance for RCAs, is provided by us in our role as a regulator, as required under the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2024 (the Rule).
RCAs should use the Guidance and MegaMaps when reviewing and setting speed limits.
Note: A new version of MegaMaps was released on 2 December 2024
