New raised crossings at the Brymer/Newcastle Road intersection
Hamilton City Council has improved safety for pedestrians and cyclists by upgrading the Brymer/Newcastle Road intersection to a roundabout.
The council upgraded the roundabout by adding raised pedestrian crossing on all approaches of the roundabout, meaning people driving through the area approach the intersection at speeds better suited for people walking. New signage, road markings, as well as differentiating the platform colour from the road make the crossing points more visible.
