Consultation has now closed |
We consulted in a number of regions around the country between 30 January and 13 March 2025 to find out public support levels for keeping speed limits at specific state highway locations at today’s lowered speeds.
NZTA is required to reverse these locations’ speed limits to their previous speeds by 1 July 2025, unless there is public support to retain them.
In Auckland we consulted on 2 sections of interregional state highway – both are on State Highway 1 in Auckland north, between Dome Valley south and the northern end of the Ara Tūhono-Pūhoi to Warkworth motorway
Following this consultation, we will share the outcomes and future dates for any speed limit changes going live in Auckland in 2025.
