Speed humps typically have a sinusoidal profile (such as a Watt’s profile speed hump) for the direction of travel. Figure 14‑3 shows typical layout markings for a speed hump installed from kerb face to kerb face; Figure 14‑4 illustrates a speed hump with tapered ends.
