Edge treatments

There are a number of treatments that can be installed at the edge of the road for delineation purposes. These include:

• edgelines;
• diagonal shoulder markings;
• edge marker posts;
• road safety barrier and sight rail delineation; and
• retroreflective raised pavement markers (RRPMs).

The determination of the type of treatment(s) you use at the edge of the road will be as a result of available road width, traffic volume and crash risk.
