For those roads where the AADT is less than 1,500vpd, the arrangement and spacing of edge marker posts on horizontal curves should:

  • be as indicated in Table 3-6 and as shown in Figure 3‑5, and Figure 3‑6 (both figures below);
    Table 2-36 
  • not be located on the inside of horizontal curves with radii equal to or less than 600m; and be spaced/adjusted to ensure that at least three posts are visible to approaching drivers at geometrically substandard horizontal curves.
