Changes to stored cards in toll accounts

In June 2023 Waka Kotahi transitioned to a new online payment platform. This gave us greater security and compliance features for online card payments and card storage. 

If you’ve stored a new credit or debit card or changed a card since June 2023, some of your auto top-ups may have failed. We’re very sorry for any confusion this has caused.

We fixed this issue on 21 November 2023. 

If your account was still under its auto top-up threshold when the fix was released, it will automatically top-up as usual to bring your account back up to its threshold.

If you’ve opted-in to receive email notifications when your account tops up, you may receive multiple emails if your nominated top-up amount doesn’t bring your account to its threshold, and it has to top up more than once.
