SH3 Eliot Street, between Courtenay and Pendarves Streets in New Plymouth, will be rebuilt from Thursday 21 November to Sunday 8 December.
Key details
- Crews will operate between 7pm and 6am, Sunday-Thursday each week. Work will not take place on Friday and Saturday nights.
- For the duration of works, SH3 between Pendarves and Courtenay Street will be closed to southbound traffic between 7pm and 6am. Northbound traffic will continue to have access.
- From 21-28 November, access to SH3 Courtenay Street at the intersection with SH44 and SH45 will be closed between 7pm and 6am.
- Access to some side streets, such as Lemon Street, will be temporarily impacted during works.
- Alternative routes will be available. Road users are asked to plan their journey to ensure they arrive at their destination on time.
- Access to residential and business properties within the site will be maintained. If access to property is impacted when you need to travel, please speak with one of our onsite crew and they will assist you.
- During the day, all roads within the site will be open under a temporary speed limit.
- Some parking may be impacted temporarily during the day however pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
- Please be patient and follow all instructions of our crews and comply with all temporary signage.
This work forms part of the Government’s $2.07 billion investment into road and drainage renewal and maintenance across 2024-27 through the State Highway Pothole Prevention fund.
