The following report templates are the recommended valuation report to be used for valuations under the Public Works Act 1981 (acquisition and disposal).
The reports are based on the ANZ Valuation Practice Standards, Guidance Notes and IVSC Reporting Standards.
The reports are to be delivered in secure PDF format ('Print to PDF'). The expectation is for valuers to use the headings of the template, presented in the same order as the template and with supporting commentary as indicated within the templates.
A key reason for the development of templates is to aid the comparison of valuations from valuers and hence the requirement to use the same order and provide the level of detail as indicated.
It is understood that valuers will tailor the template and add paragraphs and descriptions as appropriate and depending on the nature of the subject property. Valuers that want to make any other changes should advise of the proposed changes in the Scope of works.
Some valuation practices may have in-house templates or systems to assist in the report writing process. It is accepted that the template can be used in this manner.
