NZTA internal planning documents reflect the broad role that resilience has in many parts of our work. The impact of resilience has been given further prominence following the recent significant natural hazard events (such as the Christchurch earthquakes, Manawatū Gorge slip and Cyclone Gabrielle). These events have further highlighted the critical importance of a resilient land transport system.
