NZTA has an important role in delivering the government’s strategic expectations to have a resilient land transport system. Improving resilience on our state highways, local and rural roads is critically important to ensure connections are reliable, communities are better protected, and that economic growth is achieved in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Our communities need to access economic and social opportunities regardless of unplanned transport system disruptions; therefore, resilience is fundamental to the economic and social wellbeing of our communities and businesses.
