The Quality Assurance team is part of the Technical Services 2 Team within Operational Policy, Planning and Performance at Waka Kotahi. Technical Services 2 Team supports and gives input to the NZTA project managers throughout the project and asset lifecycle - the project lifecycle may involve parts of planning and/or delivery, and/or maintenance and operations.
The Quality Assurance team recognises there is not a single quality management plan that fits all circumstances and provides support to NZTA project managers to right-size their project’s quality management to fit the scale, complexity and technical challenges of individual projects.
The Quality Assurance team aims to make understanding and implementing the Quality Assurance Framework easy by supporting NZTA and their delivery partners to build a culture based on asset lifecycle, value for money, and continual improvement and value for money.
