Overview

In order to be accredited to collect or update data for the state highway database, you must attend an approved workshop conducted by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency registered trainer and successfully complete the required written and practical assessments.

Some data collection practitioners may collect data relating to a range of different assets and others may collect specific assets types. In some cases, you will require specialist knowledge of the asset in order to collect and compile a complete and accurate record. As such, the Level 1 qualification is provided in a number of specialist areas in addition to the general qualification.
