The environment is important to us. We follow environmental and sustainability policies, standards, specifications and guidance to ensure the work we do meets NZTA’s environmental and sustainability requirements, and policy and legislative requirements. Project managers, network teams, planners and others operating on our behalf all play an essential part in delivering land transport infrastructure that is safe and socially and environmentally responsible.
The requirements and guidance in this section must be followed in all Waka Kotahi land transport infrastructure capital projects, operations and maintenance, and we encourage approved organisations to follow them for activities funded by the National Land Transport Fund (NLTF) or which receive funding administered by NZTA.
