We regularly consult with the sector to gain insights that help us to review and update the documents within our Standards and Guidelines Catalogue. Information on current consultations can be viewed in our public consultation hub, and further information on recently reviewed, updated or archived documents is shared with staff and suppliers in our regular Standards and Guidelines Technical Advice Note newsletter.

Technical Advice Notes were previously published every time an individual operational policy document was ratified and updated in our standards catalogue. However, in 2024 we updated the format into a regular newsletter that not only lists recently updated documents, but also notifies future consultations and highlights upcoming plans in our forward work programme.

#17-20 Updated Risk management practice guide (minimum standard Z/44)

This practice guide (which also serves as a minimum standard for outsourced contracts) has been developed to promote a consistent and uniform approach to risk management services, the NZ Transport Agency and our contracts. It has been revised by the Risk and Assurance team in consultation with the Enterprise PMO to reflect the current Transport Agency approach to risk.

#17-19 M7 - 2017 pilot specification for approved roadmarking products

The M7 specification sets out the requirements materials must meet to be included on the list of approved roadmarking products for use on state highways. This is based on the material conforming to a set of laboratory tests and meeting performance requirements assessed by an on road trial.
