SAP stands for systems, applications and products in data processing. SAP enables new ways of accessing and managing financial, project, contract and property information. It provides access to better business information across all NZ Transport Agency groups and helps groups to share that information more effectively. This helps us all make better business decisions, because our projects and people will get a single comprehensive view of our operational information.
SAP has replaced PROMAN and PADs. see below for further information about the SAP modules.
User forms and documentation is available on the SAP portfolio and project management page.
The Customer relationship management system sits on the SAP platform that is being used to manage many of the Transport Agency’s business information needs. A CRMS is a system, which brings together information from various data sources in an organisation to provide a single, holistic view of its customers and every interaction with those customers. CRMS is the basis on which to build stronger relationships with customers.
The use of the CRMS is an important part of the 'customer' key results area in maintenance and operation contracts and Network Outcome Contracts (NOCs).
Access to the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency's State Highways User Experience survey dashboard is separate to the CRMS. For further information about access, email nztasurvey@nzta.govt.nz
Users on the Transport Agency internal network can log on to the NZ Transport Agency SAP customer relationship management system(external link)
Users accessing the Transport Agency SAP customer relationship management system from externally should go to https://crm.nzta.govt.nz(external link)
New external CRMS users must request access via their NZTA Manager or NZTA Maintenance Contract Manager.

SD&D portfolio and project management (PPM) is the term used in SAP for managing capital improvement projects and network maintenance and renewals. These are considered a subset of SD&D’s portfolio of work either in progress, or planned.
SAP is the system solution that supports the business processes of PPM including, but not limited to: planning, budgeting, forecasting, reviewing, contracting of improvements and maintenance.
As of late November 2013, PPM replaced Proman.
