Most motorcycles don’t have a reverse gear or any form of reversing assistance, so you must be sure it’s safe before you manoeuvre backwards. Before putting your helmet on, make sure there are no children or other obstacles around and behind the motorcycle that could be a hazard to your intended path.
Don’t rely on your mirrors, cameras or sensors alone. Turn your head and look over your shoulder wherever possible during the manoeuvre.
