This notice advises that the NZ Transport Agency has recently become aware of electrical issues in some of the traffic signals controllers, managed within one of our maintenance contracts.

Purpose

This notice advises that the NZ Transport Agency has recently become aware of electrical issues in some of the traffic signals controllers, managed within one of our maintenance contracts. These issues mean there is a possibility that some aspects of traffic control boxes are electrically unsafe.

The Transport Agency is addressing this issue however, it is important that all safety procedures and necessary precautions are taken by authorised workers accessing controllers for inspection, maintenance or repair purposes. 

Additionally, the Transport Agency requests that any anomalies or potential risks are reported to the relevant Transport Operation Centre immediately.
