Integrating the One Network Framework into Activity Management Plans

Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs) that have completed their current and ‘future state’ One Network Framework (ONF) classification, can use their Activity Management Plan (AMP) to identify how they plan to improve levels of service through their maintenance and low cost/low risk programmes.

RCAs which have yet to complete their ‘future state’ ONF classification may integrate the ONF into their AMPs by:

  • Reviewing how the network cost/km differs between ONF street family and understanding the reasons for these cost differentials
  • Running sealed pavement deterioration models by the ONF classification
  • Breaking down their proposed forward works programmes by ONF classification

Transport Investment Online (TIOis being updated so that during the 2024-27 NLTP, annual achievement returns reporting will be broken down by ONF classification.
