The NZ Transport Agency says motorists should allow extra time for their journey as road surface improvements at several state highway locations in Northland are due to get underway this month.
The two southbound clip-on lanes of the bridge will be closed from 4am to allow the estimated 11,000 participants to safely complete the course, and the Transport Agency plans to have all lanes open again by 11am.
