The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Motorists are advised that the second night of planned diversions will be in place this evening at the Domain Road/State Highway 2 intersection, as part of on-going construction of the NZ Transport Agency’s Tauranga Eastern Link (TEL) project.

The Transport Agency is advising that work to upgrade Te Kowhai Road and Limmer Road to connect SH39 traffic with the Te Rapa section of the Waikato Expressway is nearly complete, with a new intersection layout at Limmer Road and Horotiu Road which re-prioritises state highway traffic.
The Transport Agency is advising motorists of temporary traffic restrictions which will see State Highway 3 south of Piopio restricted to a single lane next week.
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that the southbound lanes of State Highway 2 will be closed between Melling and Dowse Drive between 8pm and 4.30am tonight. Northbound drivers will not be affected.
