Reconstruction and repairs to State Highway 60 on Takaka Hill are progressing right through the Christmas/ New Year holiday break, says the NZ Transport Agency.
In a joint effort to increase road safety in the Tasman District, the NZ Transport Agency is lowering speed limits on a busy stretch of State Highway 60 between Richmond and Motueka, in time for Christmas. The Tasman District Council is also lowering speeds on a number of adjoining roads at the same time.
People who use the road between Cromwell and Queenstown, State Highway 6, will notice roadworks near the Crown Range turnoff starting early January and running through to March. The road is commonly called the Gibbston highway.
