Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys over State Highway 58 over Labour weekend, as work continues (weather permitting) on the tie-in between the existing road and the new Haywards Interchange.

Motorists needing to travel on SH58 are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys this weekend, as work continues (weather permitting) on the new Haywards Interchange. Crews will be laying a new road surface this coming Saturday (day and night) on SH58 where it joins the new Haywards Interchange. This work is part of the tie-in works to connect the new Interchange to the existing road on SH58.

The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists of minor delays on State Highway 29 Takitimu toll road this weekend and next Tuesday while regular pavement testing is carried out.
Urgent rock scaling work on the Lewis Pass, State Highway 7, will add up to 30 minutes delay for drivers on the Alternate Christchurch to Picton Route this Thursday.
