A busy schedule of works on state highways may impact on driving in Northland, and the NZ Transport Agency says people should be alert to temporary speed restrictions and changes in road conditions for safe travel.
Work is underway or planned at the following locations:-
State Highway 1 (North)
- Ohaeawai to Springs Flat: roadmarking
- Kaiwaka: highway repairs
- Pakaraka: tree replanting
- Topuni: tree removal
- Oakleigh: Katetoke Bridge repairs
- Whangarei (Kamo bypass to Maunu intersection): repairs
- Te Ahu Ahu Rd: right turn bay safety upgrade
- McLeods Flat; guardrail improvements
- Mangamuka (Makene Rd): minor repairs to complete slip work
- SH1/SH10 Pakaraka intersection warning lights
- Watercutting at various sites on SH1
State Highway 10
- SH10/SH11 Puketona intersection warning lights
State Highway 11
- Waikokere Bridge: protection work
State Highway 12
- Maungaturoto: highway improvements and bridge repairs
- Matakohe & Ruawai: highway repairs
- Watercutting at various sites on SH14
State Highway 14
- Maunu to Tangiteroria: highway repairs
- East of Dargaville showgrounds: highway repairs.
