The NZ Transport Agency is reminding drivers in and around the Manawatu region to drive to the conditions with rain, cool temperatures and the possibility of snow contributing to challenging driving conditions.
From Friday afternoon to midday on Saturday, there is a watch out for rain and the possibility of snow accumulations, particularly near Dannevirke and Woodville.
“Our contractors will be monitoring road and weather conditions so they can quickly respond to any weather-related road effects. As conditions can change rapidly, we advise people to check the latest weather and road updates before they get on the road,” Ross I’Anson, Highways Manger, NZ Transport Agency says.
