State Highway 30 across the Whakamaru Dam south of Tokoroa will be reduced to one lane with speed restrictions for three months from tomorrow to allow dam maintenance to take place.
The one lane closure will be in place from 7am Friday morning until mid-December.
Motorists should be prepared for delays of up to five minutes while the road is down to a single lane and the 30 km/h speed limit is in place.
The Transport Agency would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience the maintenance will cause.
