The NZ Transport Agency is advising that one lane northbound on State Highway 2 between Ngauranga and Petone will be opening with speed restrictions at around 3pm.

One lane is open southbound. Motorists should expect that their journey may take longer than usual, and should be patient, continue to exercise extra care, drive to the conditions and watch speed and following distances.
While State Highway 1 remains closed from Mackays Crossing, the closure point has been moved from Paremata to Steyne Avenue at Plimmerton. Motorists should be prepared for congestion at Mana.
Due to severe flooding and slips the following roads are still closed:
There are slips and surface flooding along State Highway 1 between Johnsonville and Porirua so if travel is necessary on this route, motorists should take extra care, watch following distances and speed.
